North Carolina folk art: A centuries-old tradition

Sarah Foster • April 1, 2021

North Carolina has always been known for the quality of its arts and crafts since colonial days.

With no major rivers that large ships could use, the early North Carolinians learned to make pottery, furniture and the necessities of life and developed a crafts trade that attracted artisans from other areas too. Today North Carolina rivals New York and California in the number of artists per-capita.

Nine Fette: FullCircle Upcycled glass art

FullCircle was born out of a passion to help our environment. After discovering that many bars and restaurants simply throw away wine, beer, liquor, and soda bottles, we decided to use those bottles to make a difference, Our repurposed glass products and artwork are made mostly from recycled bottles, copper, and wood. Sometimes we can make a beautiful piece without purchasing anything to create it. Now that's upcycling! We love creating, and hope FullCircle's creations make this world a better place.
